1. During the daily inspection of MGPS, the operator shall first read the meter and record the parameters of MGPS.
2. Pay attention to the change of the output current value when the seawater pipeline system is vented. When the salinity is too high or the seawater temperature is too high, the output current will become large. In order to reduce the consumption of the anode, the set value should be adjusted to change the current output. At the same time, the chlorine content in the seawater should be measured to meet the minimum standard for preventing the derivation of marine organisms.
3. Adjust the output current to be constant according to the current flow concentration chart given in the manual. When sailing in the freshwater area or in the freshwater river sea water mixing area, the decrease of the conductivity of water will also lead to the increase of current. On the other hand, the excessive production of sodium hypochlorite will aggravate the generation of magnesium hydroxide (i.e., the white paste attached to the MGPS electrode body during cleaning). At this time, it is necessary to turn off the MGPS. In addition, it is also necessary to turn off the MGPS during hull welding.
